Born in a small town on the edge of Toronto back when there were still small towns on the edge of Toronto, Peter’s work combines a bittersweet yearning for the best of small town life with a comedic disdain for the worst. With dozens of plays produced for the stage at community theatres and local festivals throughout Canada, Peter has quickly become one of Eastern Ontario’s favourite playwrights.
“I laughed more at this play than I have ever laughed at any play I’ve read before. And I’m surprised to be saying that because I’m a tough audience When I’m reading someone else’s play—a play I am critiquing—I make notes. If it’s a comedy I write down the funny lines so I can remember them. I filled three pages of my notebook with your lines.”
